Michael Nissenbaum | President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Nissenbaum joined iMedica after a highly successful career at Millbrook Corporation and GE Healthcare. As president of Millbrook Corporation, he oversaw five years of compounded revenue growth in excess of 80%, six product releases, and receipt of numerous product awards, including three successive MS-HUG awards. During his tenure, the company grew from 24 employees to over 140 employees, supporting over 10,000 physicians in 65 specialties and sub-specialties, across the country.

At General Electric, Mr. Nissenbaum led the commercialization of GE Healthcare - Clinical Data Services, accelerating the growth of the medical record database from 11 practices delivering 600,000 records to 57 practices providing over 2.5 million records. This growth resulted in a fourfold increase in orders and a tripling of revenue.

Before Millbrook, Mr. Nissenbaum was associated with various technology companies in Texas and Illinois. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst®.

Neil Simon | Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Simon brings a strong combination of operational and technology leadership to his role as Chief Operating Officer of iMedica. Most recently, he was GE Healthcare's General Manager in charge of Centricity Physician Office products.

Previously, Mr. Simon was Vice President of Operations and Chief Technology Officer at Millbrook Corporation, one of the nation's top physician practice management vendors, where his vision led the product development group. He also oversaw technical support, training, and information technology. A 15-year software veteran, Mr. Simon participated in the design and development of Active-X for Healthcare released by Microsoft Healthcare Users Group (MS-HUG). Mr. Simon is currently a member of the MS-HUG HIMSS advisory board.

Karey Daniels | Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Daniels joined iMedica as Chief Financial Officer in December 2007. She brings with her over 18 years of financial management experience in industries ranging from high technology to healthcare. Ms. Daniels comes to us with 12 years of experience with Texas Instruments and six years of additional experience in a number of entrepreneurial ventures as principal financial executive in both public and private sectors.

Ms. Daniels earned a BBA in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. She has completed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant examination and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Daniel Popp | Vice President Engineering

Mr. Popp joined iMedica in 2004. He has a strong background in engineering management and technological leadership. He brings 18 years of healthcare software development experience to iMedica. Mr. Popp brought Healthcare products to market for GE Healthcare, Physicians Information exchange and United American Healthcare. Most recently, he was GE Healthcare’s Engineering Manager in charge of Centricity Physician Office products.

Mr. Popp is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he received his MBA from the Cox School of Business.

Kristin Raffaelle | Vice President of Marketing

Kristin joined iMedica as Vice President of Marketing in May 2007. Kristin brings with her over 15 years of experience within high technology and healthcare markets. She has lead efforts resulting in successful launch and adoption of new solutions to new markets which have subsequently resulted in the company and its solutions being recognized as a market leader.

Previously, Kristin was employed by GE Healthcare where she worked in their Centricity Healthcare Information Technology division. Prior to GE Healthcare, she was the Director of Marketing for Lucent Technologies, a network technology leader, where she led a global group of marketing and sales support functions for the Convergence Solutions business unit. Kristin is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Degree in Industrial Technology and Engineering.

Cindy Barnett | Vice President Implementations

Cindy Barnett joined iMedica as Vice President of Professional Services in July of 2007. Cindy brings 18 years of healthcare systems professional services and management experience with her. Cindy was most recently employed with Companion Technologies (now Healthport) as General Manager of several successful strategic business units during her 11 year employment. She credits Companion with affording her a well-rounded knowledgebase due to its size and diversity, and her involvement in many areas of the business over her tenure.

Cindy gained a Certified Professional in Electronic Health Records (CPEHR) designation in January 2006. This designation indicates that the holder has mastered the common body of knowledge covering planning, implementation, and operation of EHR for knowledge management, quality improvement, patient safety, and care coordination. The CPEHR curriculum adjusts the strategies to make the most of an EHR investment, enhancing capabilities, using new technologies, and building value.

Cindy graduated with a B.A. in Accounting from Western Kentucky University in 1987. Cindy began her healthcare systems career as a trainer immediately following graduation.

Jeffrey Hyman | Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Jeffrey S. Hyman received his medical degree in 1981 from SUNY (State University of New York), and went on to complete his residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in 1984. He is currently board certified in Internal Medicine.

In 1994, he established one of the first walk-in medical offices in Brooklyn, NY – The Treat and Release Center. It is there that he still practices medicine and is the managing physician of the office, where over 65 patients a day are treated with the help of two other physicians. It is at The Treat and Release Center where Dr. Hyman first started using iMedica, and continues to do so today.

Dr. Hyman is also the Medical Director of the University Physicians Group (UPG), a 65-doctor primary care and multi-specialty medical group serving patients in Staten Island and Brooklyn, NY since January 2000. His functions there are both clinical and administrative. The Treat and Release Center is part of UPG.

Dr. Hyman has written many articles on the implementation of the Electronic Health Record, and has participated at many healthcare-focused trade shows. He is passionate about the use of the Electronic Health Record and how it can enhance the quality of medical care in the 21st century.
