Beyond simply scanning and attaching documents, iMedica PRM provides a complete records management system built into the application. Document linking, quickly accessible from the desktop, can either copy documents into the iMedica database or link to files without copying - particularly helpful with PACS images and other very large files. Any kind of document or image, even video, can be attached to a patient chart, detached, sorted, searched, and even made part of the one-page summary.
At the front desk, iMedica integrates OCR-capable card readers that not only attach images of insurance cards and drivers licenses, they import data directly into the correct demographic fields. The card is scanned once and the information simply reviewed, instead of having to be typed in.
- Attached and linked documents appear as thumbnails in a single list; they can be attached or detached to a patient, visit, or service provided/ordered by simple drag-and-drop
- Flexible naming, searching, and organization
- Any information-lab reports, radiology images, waveforms, patient education materials, etc.-is available from anywhere in the chart with a single click
- Any image or document attached to a patient chart can be annotated, regardless of the image type
- Waveforms (EKGs, etc.) are integrated into the chart so they can be resized, recentered, and otherwise manipulated from inside iMedica PRM
Users can select whether any given document (attached or linked) is visible in the one-page summary.
